ANFI - MENTE Clinic
The Australian Neurofeedback Institute (ANFI) and Neurotech International Limited are pleased to announce a new partnership which will bring together the advanced neuroscience skills of ANFI along with Neurotech’s clinically-proven Mente therapy for the Australian market.

MENTE is a clinically proven audio therapy to help children on Autism Spectrum to self-regulate attention and mood. MENTE helps children to learn to relax, focus and engage positively with their environment. The team at ANFI Clinic provides qEEG services and expert analysis to support clinicians working with MENTE.
How does Mente work?
Mente is designed to rebalance excessive activation of low and high frequency brainwaves, such as Delta and Beta, which can be observed among children with the neurodevelopmental disorders and learning difficulties. Such unbalanced brain patterns can lead to inattention, impulsivity, hyperactivity, obsessive behaviours, anxiety, sleep and memory problems. Mente uses audio feedback and earphones to gently guide the brain into a more relaxed state, allowing children to focus better and engage positively with their environment.
It takes from 4 to 6 weeks for any significant differences to be noticed and it is important to be patient. During that time Delta waves will start to become less active, but there will also be bursts of activity.
Frequency of use:
For Mente to be effective, daily use is recommended, in the morning or afternoon, for 40 minutes in a quiet environment so that there’s no risk of outside noise affecting the binaural beats that the child is hearing. Otherwise, the rebalance therapy may not be as effective.
QEEG Assessment prior to use of Mente System
Prior to using the Mente System a QEEG assessment is recommended in order to determine a precise Mente System protocol. The ANFI Clinic based in Sydney is offering a baseline QEEG assessment and then monitoring of therapy progress with the assistance of skilled professionals. We are also able to provide QEEG assessment to rural and regional areas of NSW on request.
A QEEG (Quantitative Electroencephalogram) is a non-invasive assessment method that records brain electrical activity in the form of brain wave patterns.
The QEEG assessment gives a general indication of typical brain functioning, levels of alertness, self-regulation capacity and can identify different patterns associated with difficulties in cognitive functions, sleep disorders and changes in mood and behaviour.
